FAQ
You've got questions? We've got answers! They may even be the answers to the questions you have! Who knows? If your question isn't answered here, feel free to contact us.
Who's on the sakevisual team?
Sakevisual uses the talents of many artists, programmers, composers, voice actors, and other artists. The only permanent sakevisual member is writer/project manager, Ayu Sakata. Be sure to check the credits on all our game pages to see who was involved in each project (and see other things they've done elsewhere!).
When will [game] be out?
Someday. There are a lot of factors that go into making our games, and none of us work full time for sakevisual, so sometimes other things slow down the development process. We do our best to bring games to you as quickly as possible, but we don't want to sacrifice quality. Keep an eye on facebook, twitter, and tumblr for updates. Usually, a solid date will be announced 2-3 weeks before the release date.
What ever happened to [in progress work] from years ago?
Hard to say. The team members might be busy with work, life, or other projects, or something else happened behind the scenes. We keep our social media as up to date as possible, so if you haven't seen anything about it in a while, it's probably on hold until we can get everything worked out.
My antivirus claims your game is a virus! Is this true?
Many antivirus softwares flag indie games as viruses because they are unfamiliar programs that aren't used by a large group of people (a common marker for viruses). The server we use to distribute our games scans all files for viruses, so if you've purchased the game directly from us, you should be safe.
How do I submit myself to work for sakevisual?
Visit our submissions page.
I'm stuck in one of your games. What should I do?
We provide walkthroughs for all of our games. Please check the game's page for more information.
I found a bug in one of your games. What should I do?
Contact us. The quickest way to get a response is through email.
Can you guys come to [convention]?
We'd love to if we could, but it costs a lot to get there, pay for the table, hotel room, etc. The easiest way to see us is to put in a request with the convention itself. Most cons have forums that allow you request certain guests be invited to the con. Let them know you want to see sakevisual!
